" I have been looking into the regulations regarding Defibrillators in dental practices
The 2008 Resus Council Guidance lists a AED as required emergency equipment for a dental practice.
I have spoken to the GDC whose response was that if there was a medical emergency at your practice which required use of a AED and it was not available then you would expect some difficult questions from the GDC and possibly a Coroner as to why you did not have one." Ian Gordon GDPUK

Dear all
First medical training have improved the original AED deal offered.
For those of you who have not taken up the offer the details are as below
They now include STAFF FAMILIARISATION and a SURGERY AUDIT within the original price quoted of £650 + VAT for the unit and 1 set of pads PLUS a 10 year warranty on the unit,
The pads need replacing in 4 years time so
They have now included the option to have a replacement set of pads sent to you in 4 years time for the inclusive price of £695+ VAT
The additional CPR training using the AED is still available in addition to familiarization as per the terms of the original offer ( £35+VAT per person)
First Medical training will be contacting you directly to confirm the following:-
Do you want option 1 - £650+ VAT – includes one set of adult pads
Option 2 - £695+ VAT – 2nd set of pads sent with no further cost in 4 years time
CPR training at time of delivery of the unit ( as well as unit familiarization) - and for how many people
A time for delivery of the unit and training
Payment!
You will be dealing directly with First Medical for the rest of this process now that the order has been secured
They will contact you as per the details on your application form
